Rules of the Black Mountain Caravan Park


Everyone is expected to report to reception on arrival (Mobile Home at the rear of the park).


Pitches that are pre-booked must arrive by 8pm. Late arrivals will only be accepted by prior arrangement. At peak times we ask that you do not arrive before 2.00pm and that you vacate the pitch by noon on the day of departure.

If as a result of circumstances beyond your control you arrive after 9pm, please pitch but be prepared to relocate the next day.

If you contact us as soon as you are aware of a delay, we can advise you where to pitch.

Bookings for the August Bank Holiday must be accompanied by full payment – refunds cannot be given unless written notice of cancellation is received at least 4 weeks before the arrival date booked.

Refunds cannot be given on the grounds of bad weather.


Static caravans that are pre-booked must arrive by 8pm. Late arrivals will only be accepted by prior arrangement. Arrivals between 2pm and 8pm only. We ask that you vacate the caravan by 10.30am on the day of departure.

A 25% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to accompany booking – Full payment due 4 weeks before arrival.

Cancellations must be made in writing, full payment is due on cancellations made less than 4 weeks prior to your arrival.


Commercial vehicles of any kind are not permitted to stay at the Black Mountain Caravan Park. The definition of a commercial vehicle is at the discretion of the management of the Black Mountain Caravan Park. Their decision is final.


Parking is provided for 1 vehicle per unit, please arrange with us for additional vehicles (extra costs may apply). Please note the Red Kite Feeding station car park is for visitors to the hide.


May be subject to an extra pitch fee at peak periods (For example 2 people using a 6 berth tent will incur an extra cost)


Groups are by pre-arrangement only. A bond will be levied on arrival and refunded on departure if there have been NO complaints from staff or other visitors.


Anti social behaviour will not be tolerated (this includes foul language). Please respect others – televisions, radios etc should be used with consideration for other guests during the day especially in tents/awnings. After 10pm we require no noise which might cause annoyance.

Anyone causing a nuisance or offence will be asked to leave immediately and that will include all members of their party camping with the offending individual – NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN.


Are the responsibility of their parents or guardians. They are not allowed to play with taps, hosepipes, fire extinguishers, chemical disposal points, bins or play in the shower blocks, laundry or any of the fenced off areas. Young children must be supervised in the shower blocks.

The use of children’s bicycles, scooters and skateboards are not permitted after dark.


Must be kept on a short lead at all times on the Park. Any fouling must be cleaned up immediately by the dog owner.


Must be strictly adhered to by all vehicles, including bicycles.


Are permitted only on purpose built appliances which will not cause damage to the pitch. Fires and hot saucepans must not be placed on the grass or picnic tables where they may cause damage.


The proprietors will not be held responsible for any damage to clients property or to any injury to persons whilst staying on the park.

The Black Mountain Caravan Park is a family orientated site. We reserve the right to terminate or decline the booking of any guest who, in the sole opinion of the management, is likely to, or actually causes interference to the general comfort of any other guest.
